InKonbini: One Store, Many Stories Demo Promises Coziness
Ever wanted to run your own convenience store in a small town in 1990s Japan, stacking shelves and meeting the regulars and simply vibing to just pass the night away? Well, Nagai Industries has just released the demo of their debut game, InKonbini: One Store, Many Stories, as part of Steam's LudoNarraCon 2025 event. The demo features an introduction to the mechanics and a sneak peek at the gameplay, which has you trying to get through the night routine in your new position.
Following the Japanese concept ichi-go, ichi-e (one time, one meeting), you play as Makoto Hayakawa as she covers for her aunt's konbini (convenience store). Starting with the organisation of the shop floor and following the notes left by Aunt Hina to help provide the best service to the customers who visit the store during Makoto's night shift.

Although the demo is short (around 30 minutes), it highlights the essential parts of the game, including the introduction of a regular customer who goes by the name “Chief.” Even within this brief first interaction, you begin to understand the narrative richness of the game and the style of puzzles that will add a nice cozy charm to the atmosphere of the inKONBINI game.

The inKONBINI demo is available until the end of the event on the 8th May alongside several other narrative-centred games. Immerse yourself in the world and get lost in the narrative, and perhaps you’ll find comfort in the story and relax after a busy day. Perhaps it will persuade you to pick it up when it hits the shelves (hehe).
InKonbini: One Store, Many Stories will be released on PC (Steam), Mac, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch in 2025.
