A Star Brighter Than the Sun Anime Reveals Trailer
The upcoming A Star Brighter Than the Sun anime revealed a new visual, trailer, and the main cast, and staff details. Minori Fujidera is voicing Sae and Yuki Ono is Koki. As previously announced, the anime premieres in October 2025.
Studio KAI is animating A Star Brighter Than the Sun anime with Sayaka Kobayashi (Mayonaka Punch episodes 4 and 6 director). Yasuhiro Nakanishi (Kaguya-sama: Love Is War, Shy) is in charge of the series composition. Natsumi Tabuchi and Miki Sakurai are composing the music.
The anime will adapt Kazune Kawahara's A Star Brighter Than the Sun (Taiyou yori mo Mabushii Hoshi) manga, serialized in Shueisha's Bessatsu Margaret shojo magazine since 2021. VIZ Media licensed the manga in English and describes the plot:
Sae and Koki have been friends since childhood. One fateful day at the end of middle school, she has a revelation: Koki has grown up! Now they’re in high school, and she has another revelation: she has feelings for Koki! But Sae isn’t the only girl who does… The question is, who does Koki have feelings for?!
