Anime Expo Hosts J-POP SOUND CAPSULE Music Festival This July
Anime Expo recently announced that they will be hosting a Japanese music festival "J-POP SOUND CAPSULE @AX2025 Anisong World Matsuri Returns" on July 3, 2025 at Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.

This will be a collaboration of new and returning Japanese artists from iconic bands to upcoming acts.
The six artists include:
- FLOW - A legendary band known for popular anime theme songs from NARUTO, Code Geass, Eureka Seven, and Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods.
- GRANRODEO - A Japanese band known for their songs in Bungo Stray Dogs, Kuroko's Basketball, Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans, and Hanma Baki: Son of Ogre.
- TOGENASHI TOGEARI - A real-life band based on the main characters’ band in the anime GIRLS BAND CRY. This will be their first North American performance.
- Sakurazaka46 - A leading Japanese girl group that had members singing an ending theme for Pokémon. Their most popular song "Naze Koi wo Shite Konakattan darou?" has over 13 million views on YouTube.
- Hiroshi Kitadani (of JAM PROJECT) - Singer known for the voice behind One Piece's opening song We Are! and We Go!
- ASTERISM (Opening Act) - A Japanese heavy metal band known for their anime song covers. They recently did the opening song for Even Given the Worthless "Appraiser" Class, I'm Actually the Strongest.
Tickets start at $130. VIP is $175 which includes a Meet & Greet. An Anime Expo 2025 ticket is also required for entry, which can be purchased separately. Artists participating in the Meet & Greet will be announced later.
This special event is organized by SPJA and produced by AMUSE MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT, PIA, EUPHORIC PRODUCTION, and Earkth.
