AnimeJapan 2025: All Announcements and Event Highlights
AnimeJapan 2025 is here with a two-day event, taking place on March 22-23. As is the case every year, visitors of Tokyo Big Sight in Japan and anime fans all over the world are in for a treat with over 20 featured titles, spread across four stages: Red, Blue, Green, and White.
We at Anime Atelier followed the whole event to bring you the updates and news as they came in. This article was used for live coverage and is now a recap. For more information on specific announcements, click the hyperlink in the subheading.
Rascal Does Not Dream
Rascal Does Not Dream of Santa Claus anime is coming this July, as announced with a trailer.

Moonrise
Moonrise original anime by WIT Studio and Netflix revealed the trailer and a key visual ahead of the April 10 release date during the Netflix Special Stage. Chiaki Kobayashi, who voices Jacob Shadow, was presenting the information.

Blue Lock
Blue Lock fans got an updated visual for the April 26 EGOIST Exhibition and a promotional video for the upcoming Blu-ray release. Kazuki Ura, Koki Uchiyama, Tasuku Kaito, and Takahiro Sakurai were part of the stage.

Tokyo Revengers
Tokyo Revengers anime is celebrating the 5th anniversary with an event scheduled for June 22 at Tokyo Dome City Hall. Additionally, the anime confirmed production of the fourth season with a teaser visual:

Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha Exceeds Gun Blaze Vengeance revealed a new visual:

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba
The main cast, Natsuki Hanae, Hiro Shimono, Yoshitsugu Matsuoka, Reina Ueda, and Nobuhiko Okamoto went over some of the highlights from the series and showed off the recent promotional materials for the upcoming Infinity Castle movie.
The Summer Hikaru Died
The Summer Hikaru Died anime revealed the main trailer featuring the opening theme song. Yumiri Hanamori is joining the cast as Asako Yamagishi.

Lycoris Recoil
Lycoris Recoil did not have a dedicated panel, but the original anime revealed April 16 release date for its "Friends are thieves of time" short movie collection that will stream weekly. The first of six movies is titled "Take it easy" and the key visual for it has been revealed:

Kaiju No. 8
The Kaiju No. 8 Season 2 revealed the first trailer ahead of the July 2025 premiere date.

Clevatess
Clevatess: The King of Magical Beasts, the Baby, and the Corpse Hero anime revealed the second trailer. The series will premiere in July. Mayu Maeshima is performing the opening theme song "Ruler" which can be heard in the trailer:

Rent-a-Girlfriend
The upcoming fourth season of the Rent-a-Girlfriend revealed the first trailer, July premiere date, and a visual featuring Mami. The anime will be a split cour broadcast.

Maebashi Witches
Maebashi Witches original anime premieres on April 6. Joining the cast are:
- Yu Serizawa as Eiko Zen
- Nao Toyama as Rinko Mitsuba
- Akari Kito as Yua Hosaka
Gachiakuta
The main cast gathered for the first time to discuss the upcoming anime. As previously announced, the main cast includes:
- Aoi Ichikawa as Rudo
- Katsuyuki Konishi as Enjin
- Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Zanka
- Yumiri Hanamori as Riyo
I Was Reincarnated as the 7th Prince
I Was Reincarnated as the 7th Prince so I Can Take My Time Perfecting My Magical Ability Season 2 revealed the first teaser trailer. The anime will premiere in July 2025.

My Hero Academia: Vigilantes
The upcoming My Hero Academia: Vigilantes revealed that "Speed" by yutori will be the ending theme song. The anime premieres this April.
Oshi no Ko
Oshi no Ko Season 3 revealed a new version of the teaser visual:

The final season of the My Hero Academia anime will begin in October 2025. Crunchyroll will be streaming the anime. Teaser visual is now out:

Please Put Them On, Takamine-san
The Please Put Them On, Takamine-san anime revealed a new visual ahead of the April 2 premiere date. LIDEN FILMS is animating.

Kamitsubaki City Under Construction
Kamitsubaki City Under Construction anime revealed a July 2025 premiere date with a new trailer.

Kowloon Generic Romance
The upcoming Kowloon Generic Romance anime revealed plans to completely adapt the source material in a 13-episode season. The anime premieres this April.
Chitose Is in the Ramune Bottle
Chitose Is in the Ramune Bottle revealed a teaser trailer at the AnimeJapan 2025. The anime premieres this year.

Summer Pockets
A manga adaptation of the Summer Pockets TV anime is on the way, as announced during today's AnimeJapan 2025 stage.
Fermat no Ryori
Fermat no Ryori (Fermat's Kitchen) anime revealed additional cast details ahead of July's premiere date. Joining Taito Ban (Kai Asakura) and Ryunosuke Tomita (Gaku Kitada) are:
- Daichi Endo as Katsuya Hotei
- Takuma Nagatsuka as Milo Wivia
- Natsu Yorita as Ranna Akamatsu
- Haruna Ikezawa as Nene Fukuda
- Tatsumaru Tachibana as Magoroku Inui
- Makoto Furukawa as Ichitaro Hirose
- Shion Wakayama as Kagura Musashi
- Ana Nagase as Ayu Uomi
Studio domerica is animating the adaptation with Kazuya Ichikawa as the director.
Sakamoto Days
Sakamoto Days anime revealed a key visual for the second cour, slated to begin broadcasting this summer. Koki Uchiyama is joining the cast as Gaku.

A special music video for the "Somebody help us" by Vaundy was also showed off.
I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World
I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World and Became Unrivaled in the Real World, Too anime announced a TV special with a teaser visual.

Wind Breaker
Wind Breaker anime announced that it is getting two new cast additions ahead of the April premiere for the second season:
- Soma Saito as Seiryu Sakaki
- Kazuki Ura as Uryu Sakaki
Rurouni Kenshin
The new Rurouni Kenshin anime series is getting a third season. Check out the special announcement video:

Disney Twisted-Wonderland
Disney Twisted-Wonderland revealed a trailer and announced that Yohei Azakami is joining the cast.

One Piece
One Piece announced yet another anime adaptation: Koisuru One Piece (One Piece in Love) gag manga is getting adapted into a vertical anime with short episodes.
Additionally, the One Piece TV anime is returning in April with new theme songs by GRe4N BOYZ (opening) and muque (ending).
Aharen-san wa Hakarenai
Inori Minase (Aharen) and Nao Toyama (Riku) presented the information about the upcoming second season of the TV anime, slated to premiere on April 7. Check out the most recent trailer:

Jujutsu Kaisen revealed a new trailer for its upcoming compilation movie of the Hidden Inventory /Premature Death arc of the anime.

Classroom of the Elite anime shared an unexpected preview of the upcoming Season 4. A teaser visual and trailer were revealed.

Chained Soldier
Chained Soldier anime revealed a first visual for the upcoming second season. Masafumi Tamura is directing the sequel.

From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman
Ahead of the premiere in April, the From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman revealed a new commercial:

Fate/strange Fake anime revealed two new character visuals and welcome Gakuto Kajiwara to the cast.

Tojima Tanzaburo Wants to Be a Masked Rider
Tojima Tanzaburo Wants to Be a Masked Rider revealed the first trailer and welcomed Katsuyuki Konishi to the cast. Konishi will be voicing the titular character. The TV anime is slated to air in 2025.

Ballpark de Tsukamaete! (The Catcher in the Ballpark) anime revealed a new trailer, showcased at the TV Tokyo AnimeJapan 2025 booth. The anime will stream on Crunchyroll this April. "Hurray!!" by GENIC is the opening theme song and it can be heard in the promotional video:
Sentenced to Be a Hero
Sentenced to Be a Hero anime revealed a new key visual, trailer, and October 2025 premiere date.

Tune In to the Midnight Heart
Tune In to the Midnight Heart anime revealed the main cast and a voiced trailer. The cast includes:

The Apothecary Diaries
While The Apothecary Diaries stage did not offer any updates about the currently ongoing second season of the anime, the main cast did a live reading of the infamous cave scene from the previous episode. titled "Hunt":

The two titles by the same team at Doga Kobo and author will premiere in July. Captivated, by You also revealed two new cast additions.

Part 2 of the Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club The Movie: Final Chapter movie will be released on November 7 in Japanese theatres.
Chainsaw Man
The highly-anticipated Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc movie revealed a September 19 premiere date at the White Stage during today's AnimeJapan 2025.

Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid
Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid: The Lonely Dragon Wants to Be Loved movie revealed a new key visual.

Watari-kun's ****** Is About to Collapse
Watari-kun's ****** Is About to Collapse revealed first trailer (30 seconds). The anime premieres in July. Staple Entertainment is animating.

My Dress-Up Darling will be returning in July with a second season. A new illustration has been revealed, along with a "Memories" trailer recapping the first season.
