Aniplex Announces Touring After the Apocalypse Anime

After teasing a new announcement last week, Aniplex have today officially revealed that Sakae Saito's Touring After the Apocalypse manga is receiving an anime adaptation by studio Nexus in 2025. Teaser video featuring Miyu Tomita and Konomi Inagaki, who are voicing the main duo, Youko and Airi.

Mangaka Sakae Saito's seinen post-apocalyptic manga series Touring After the Apocalypse has been serialised monthly in Kadokawa's Dengeki Maoh magazine since September 2020. Six volumes have been released in Japan, while in English the series is published by Yen Press who have released five volumes so far. The publisher describes the series as follows:

"All alone after the end of days, two girls ride through the desolate ruins of Japan—but they’re not about to let the collapse of civilization get in the way of sightseeing! From the hot springs of Hakone to the massive Tokyo Big Sight, they’ve got the run of the country’s most popular tourist spots all to themselves, so why not make the most of it?"

Saito commented on the announcement, stating they drew the manga without thinking about it in an anime adaptation format. They praised the work of the production team invovled.
