Blue Box Season 2 Announced

Following the worldwide release of the final episode of Blue Box Season 1, it has been confirmed that a second season is in production. A special PV has also been released to celebrate the news.

The Blue Box anime is based on the ongoing manga by Kouji Miura. The series is serialised in Shueishia's Weekly Shonen Jump since 2021. The manga has so far been compiled into 19 volumes.

The anime adaptation concluded internationally this week after running for 25 episodes and is available to stream on Netflix. It was co-produced by TMS Entertainment who handled production and planning, with Telecom Animation Film credited for animation. The series was directed by Yuichiro Yano, with screenwriting by Yuko Kakihara and music by Takashi Ohmama.

The main voice cast includes:

• Shoya Chiba as Taiki Inomata
• Reina Ueda as Chinatsu Kano
• Akari Kito as Hina Chono

VIZ Media publishes the series in English and has released 14 volumes so far. The publisher describes the story as follows:

Taiki admires Chinatsu from afar, but he doubts that she sees him in the same way. Yet somehow, he musters up the courage to tell her to never give up on her dreams! After such a bold declaration, will Taiki’s fleeting high school romance finally begin?
