Bocchi the Rock Anime Announces Season 2

The beloved Bocchi the Rock anime announced a Season 2 earlier today with a new director. Yusuke Yamamoto, who was the assistant director in the first season, is taking over from Keiichiro Saito. Studio CloverWorks is returning to animate. Check out the teaser video:

Erika Yoshida, who did the series composition and script for the first season is returning for the sequel. Kerorira is once again credited with the character designs, alongside Keito Oda. The Bocchi the Rock Season 2 announcement was accompanied by a teaser visual by Keito Oda:

Bocchi the Rock anime premiered in October of 2022. The anime is based on a 4-panel (4-koma) manga by Aki Hamaji, serialized in Houbunsha’s Manga Time Kirara Max since 2017.

The 12-episode anime was followed by a two-part recap movie, titled Bocchi the Rock! Re: and Bocchi the Rock! Re:Re:. The movie premiered in June and August respectively.
