Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - Mugen Train Returns to North American Cinemas in 4K
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - Mugen Train is returning to North American cinemas on May 14, 2025, in 4K for the first time, Crunchyroll announced. In addition to the US and Canada, the movie will also be re-released in other select (still unannounced) territories on the same day. Tickets for the re-release will go on sale on Wednesday, April 30.
Crunchyroll also revealed a new trailer featuring "Homura" by LiSA (movie's theme song):
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - Mugen Train was screened in 4K in Japan earlier this year.

Ufotable's movie was originally released in 2020, and it went on the become one of the highest-grossing anime movies in Japan with over $507 million earned. Mugen Train is a direct sequel to the first season of the Demon Slayer anime. The same arc is covered in the anime's second season, but with an additional anime-original episode. The second season also adapted the "Entertainment District" arc from the manga and was followed by the third, which focused on the "Swordsmith Village" arc. The most recent was the "Hashira Training" arc, which premiered in 2024 and ran for eight episodes.
The anime adaptation will be completed with the Infinity Castle movie trilogy. The first of the movies premieres in Japan this July with international releases starting in August.
