First International ONE PIECE DAY Celebration Comes to Texas in March 2025

The first-ever overseas celebration of ONE PIECE DAY is set to take place in Fair Park in Dallas, Texas, USA, on March 8-9, 2025. The international event, officially called "ONE PIECE DAY Dallas –Card Game Celebration–" is set to feature an unprecedented exhibition, live stage, drone show, and the world’s first regional qualifier for the “ONE PIECE CARD GAME Championship 25-26” tournament.

Since 2022, ONE PIECE DAY has been held annually in Japan to celebrate all things ONE PIECE. This year, the event will be held outside of Japan for the first time. The ONE PIECE DAY Dallas –Card Game Celebration– will be a two-day event that aims to "create an unforgettable fan experience of this beloved franchise at a historic international celebration." The highlights of the event are as follows:

• Commemorative ONE PIECE DAY Drone Show: A spectacular show that will illuminate the night sky with unique drone choreography visualizing the world of ONE PIECE. It will be held on Saturday, March 8 at 7:30 PM (approximately 20 minutes) at the Esplanade Fountain at Fair Park
• Two-Day Main Stage Program: A must-see location featuring anime screening, panels with series voice actors and staff, surprise programs with a guest from Japan, and live performances by Japanese music artists Hiroshi Kitadani and Maki Otsuki.
• ONE PIECE CARD GAME Championship 25-26: The global kickoff of the world's first regional qualifier for the ONE PIECE CARD GAME Championship 25-26 tournament.The competition takes place in the Automobile Building at Fair Park and will include over 3,000 participants across two days.
• ONE PIECE DAY Dallas Exhibition: In celebration of the anime's return with its Egghead arc, a special exhibition showcasing the manga, anime, licensed merchandise and a large-scale ONE PIECE CARD GAME display.

Both days of the main stage programs will be broadcast live on the official series English language YouTube channel. The schedule (which is subject to change) is as follows:

DAY ONE – Saturday, March 8

• ONE PIECE anime screening: ONE PIECE Film Red movie tie-in episodes #1029 and #1030
• Talk session with voice actors and the series’ producer
• Surprise program with a special Japanese guest, etc.
• Live musical performance

Free tickets for ONE PIECE DAY Dallas –Card Game Celebration– are now available and can be secured via the BANDAI TCG+ mobile app. The step-by-step instructions on how to register can be found on the website, and will officially close on Wednesday, March 5 at 9:00 AM (CST).

ONE PIECE is a manga series by Eiichiro Oda. It began serialization in Shuiesha's Weekly Shonen Jump in 1997, followed by an anime adaptation by Toei Animation in 1999. The annual fan event, ONE PIECE DAY, was last held at the Makuhari Messe in Japan, making it the series' biggest event ever with a dedicated exhibition and live entertainment zones, which was just in time for the grand celebration of the series' 25th anniversary on October 20, 2024. The franchise has also been doing some exciting collaborations, including the recent LA Lakers and LEGO projects.
