Ghost of Tsushima: Legends Anime Announced for 2027

Ghost of Tsushima and its Legends expansion is getting an anime, titled Ghost of Tsushima: Legends. Crunchyroll, Aniplex, Sony Music, and PlayStation Productions are teaming up with studio,  Kamikaze Douga, Takanobu Mizuno and Gen Urobuchi (NITRO PLUS) to bring the adaptation to our screens in 2027.

Mizuno, best known to anime fans as the director of Star Wars: Visions' first episode "The Duel," is also directing the Ghost of Tsushima: Legends. Urobuchi is credited for the series composition.  Sony Music will serve as the strategic music and soundtrack partner for the series. Fans of Jojo's Bizzare Adventure are familiar with Kamikaze Douga, as the studio did the opening for the franchise.

Ghost of Tsushima is an open-world action-adventure game set in feudal Japan, developed by Sucker Punch Productions and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. The game was originally published in 2020 and has since sold over 13 million copies. Legends is a multiplayer expansion inspired by Japanese folk tales and mythology.
