Hell Teacher: Jigoku Sensei Nube Shows Off Trailer, Key Visual
Hell Teacher: Jigoku Sensei Nube anime revealed a new trailer and key visual earlier today. The anime premieres this July and is animated by Studio KAI. The trailer is available on Remow's It's Anime channel:
The new trailer introduces cast additions: Ryoko Shiraishi as Hiroshi Tateno, Aya Suzaki as Kyoko Inaba, Tomoyo Kurosawa as Miki Hosokawa, Ryota Iwasaki as Katsuya Kimura, Shiho Kokido as Makoto Kurita, Aya Endo as Ritsuko Takahashi, Ai Kakuma as Yukime, and Toshiyuki Morikawa as Kyosuke Tamamo. They will join the previously announced main cast, which includes:
- Meisuke Nueno: Ryotaro Okiayu as Meisuke Nueno
- Ryoko Shiraishi as Hiroshi Tateno
- Aya Suzaki as Kyoko Inaba

Director Yasuyuki Oishi commented on the project:
I was one of those Nube readers who found it terrifying yet couldn’t look away. Now, with the anime adaptation, I’m thrilled to have the chance to bring that same terrifying experience to everyone as part of the staff. The entire team—staff and cast alike—is pouring our hearts and souls into making this an anime you won’t be able to look away from.
Yoshiki Okusa, who is the head writer and in charge of the series composition had this to say:
“We want to bring a new hero to the children of the Reiwa era.”
As former bright-eyed fans who once read this story in our own childhood—proud Domori Elementary School Alumni, you might say—we came together as a team, driven by our passion to create a Reiwa-era Nube.
Once again, a messenger of justice has risen from the depths of hell to stand against the darkness. Look forward to his heroic return!
Character designer, Yuu Yoshiyama also commented:
I never imagined I would be the one designing the characters. It’s a truly mysterious twist of fate. While cherishing the Nube of our memories, I aimed to create a completely new Nube—one that’s fun to draw and animate. I hope you enjoy the broadcast!
The anime is adapting the Hell Teacher Nube manga, originally serialized in the Weekly Shonen Jump from 1993 to 1999. Sho Makura wrote the story, while Takeshi Okano did the art. The duo worked on the Hell Teacher Nube Neo (Grand Jump, 2014-2018) and Hell Teacher Nube S (Saikyo Jump, 2018-2021) sequels.
The franchise received a TV anime adaptation, several movies, and a three-episode OVA by Toei Animation in the 1990s.
