HIDIVE Licenses Rock Is a Lady's Modesty and Yandere Dark Elf

HIDIVE announced that Rock Is a Lady's Modesty and Yandere Dark Elf: She Chased Me All the Way From Another World will be joining its Spring 2025 anime season lineup.

The HIDIVE platform also announced that it is now available on Amazon Prime Video Channels as a monthly ad-free add-on subscription in the United Kingdom ($4.99 GBP), Canada ($8.99 CAD), Australia ($8.99 AUD) and New Zealand ($8.99 NZD).

Rock Is a Lady's Modesty

The anime music drama, Rock is a Lady's Modesty will be directed by Shinya Watada at Studio BN Pictures (Bandai Namco Pictures). Shogo Yasukawa is in charge of series scripts, with character designs by Risa Miyadani. The opening theme song is "Ready to Rock" performed by Band-Maid. The series has been licensed by Hidive outside of Japan, and premieres April 3.

The voice cast comprises:

• Akira Sekine as Lilisa Suzunomiya
• Miyuri Shimabukuro as Otoha Kurogane
• Ayaka Fukuhara as Tina Isemi
• Natsumi Fujiwara as Tamaki Shiraya

Rock is a Lady's Modesty is based on a manga written and illustrated by Hiroshi Fukuda, serialized in Hakusensha's Young Animal magazine since October 2022. At present the series has six tankobon volumes in Japanese, with a seventh due out March 28; currently there is no English licensor.

HIDIVE describes Rock is a Lady's Modesty as follows:

At an all-girls' school where young, gorgeous, and ladylike girls from all over the country gather, Ririsa Suzunomiya, who became the daughter of a real estate tycoon after her mother remarried, gives up her guitar and love for rock music in order to act like a rich, young lady. But her passion for rock is rekindled when she meets a highly skilled drummer, who attends the same all girls' school.

Dark Yandere Elf

Studio Elias is animating the anime adaptation of the Dark Yandere Elf under Toshikatsu Tokoro's direction. Yuki Takabayashi is doing the series composition and Kazuhiko Tamura is the character designer. The cast includes:

• Minami Takahashi as Mariabelle
• Rie Kawamura as Hinata Sunohara
• Kyoka Maruyama as Sakura Mochida
• Ayumi Mano as Mei
• Hinako Takahashi as Cecile

The original manga by Sora Nakano is serialized in Takeshobo's Web Comic Gamma Plus magazine. Seven Seas licensed the manga and describes the plot as:

Hinata did it. He got reincarnated into another world, took up the mantle of Hero, and slew the dreaded Demon Lord alongside his party of fellow adventurers. As his reward, he's returned to Earth to resume a normal life. Or it would be if it wasn't for the fact that his dark elf companion Mariabelle decided to travel to Earth to come and live with him! Now she uses her arcane talents to ward off any potential romantic rivals and capture Hinata's affection.
