Hokago Kitaku Biyori Anime Adaptation Announced
The official X (formerly Twitter) account for Futabasha's Web Action platform announced Hokago Kitaku Biyori (Journey Home After School) by Mai Matsuda will be receiving an anime adaptation. No further details in terms of format or release date have been revealed at this time.
Matsuda began serialising the series in Futabasha's Manga Action magazine in mid-2023, the manga has so far run for 4 volumes and 38 chapters. Volume 4 was released in Japan today, March 27th. There is currently no English license, although Matsuda's previous series Hikaru in the Light is available through the digital platform and publisher Azuki.

Hokago Kitaku Biyori follows the story of high-school protagonist Shun, who is invited to join the "Go-Home Club" by older student Naoki Satou. Despite initially refusing, he soon finds himself getting involved in the easygoing club activities that revolve around going home - with detours.
Having been forced to give up on his dream of becoming a soccer player after an injury, Shun's meeting with Naoki Satou could prove the perfect distraction he needs. And what's more, as he spends time with Naoki he finds himself slowly falling in love. This gentle slice-of-life series is perfect for those looking for a fluffy romance series that's free of drama!
