Kadokawa Confirms The Guy She Was Interested In Wasn't a Guy at All Anime Project With New Video
The anime project for The Guy She Was Interested In Wasn't a Guy at All (Ki ni Natteru Hito ga Otoko Janakatta) has been officially revealed by Kadokawa following the release of the third volume. The published uploaded an announcement video to their Kitora YouTube channel:
Further details such as format, studio and voice cast have yet to be revealed, so stay tuned for future updates!
Yesterday, the official X account of Animate's AL.PLAZA Kusatsu branch posted a photo of the new volume of the series on which the obi announced it would be receiving an anime adaptation.
The original manga series has been published in English by Yen Press since October 2024 and they describe the series as follows:
Fashionable and upbeat high schooler Aya falls head over heels for an employee at a local CD shop. He's got an air of mystery about him, great style, and an impeccable music taste. Little does she know—this supposedly male employee is actually her female classmate Mitsuki! Mitsuki generally keeps to herself, but since her seat is right next to Aya's, she can't help but be extremely aware of the other's crush. Revealing the truth is out of the question for Mitsuki—but perhaps getting closer to Aya wouldn't be so bad…
