VIZ Media's Kingdom release will also be published on the Shonen Jump digital service following print releases. In Japan, the manga is published in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine.

The Kingdom manga has been serialized since January 2006 and as of December 2024, it had over 110 million copies in circulation. In 2013 it also won the Grand Prize of the Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize content.

Kingdom was adapted to anime in 2012: the first season was animated by studios Pierrot and IKIF+. Pierrot returned for the second season in 2013 and was joined by St. Signpost (Pierrot's subsidiary) for the third in 2020. The third season of the Kingdom anime was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic by a whole year: although it initially premiered in April 2020 only four episodes aired before the lockdowns started affecting the production schedule. The third season restarted broadcast in April of 2021 and was the first one to use non-CGI animation. The fourth season premiered in April 2022, while the most recent one premiered in January 2024. The Kingdom anime currently has a total of 142 episodes.
