Kowloon Generic Romance Confirms Complete Adaptation
The Kowloon Generic Romance anime has announced that it will be a complete adaptation of Jun Mayuzuki's manga, with a total of 13 episodes. The anime will premiere on April 5. The manga is still ongoing.
The anime will be under the direction of Yoshiaki Iwasaki at studio Arvo Animation. Jin Tanaka will provide the series composition and the scripts, Yuka Shibata on character designs, and Yuji Kaneko on the art direction. The voice cast includes:
- Haruka Shiraishi as Reiko Kujirai
- Tomokazu Sugita as Hajime Kudo
- Aoi Koga as Yaomay
- Kengo Kawanishi as Yulong
- Ryotaro Okiayu as Miyuki Hebinuma
- Sayumi Suzushiro as Xiaohei
- Taito Ban as Gwen Tao
The opening theme song is “Summertime Ghost” by Wednesday Campanella while the ending theme song is “Koi no Retronym (Retronym of Love)" by mekakushe.
Kowloon Generic Romance is a Japanese manga series by Jun Mayuzuki and has been serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Young Jump since 2019. Following the anime adaptation by Arvo Animation in April 2025, a live-action film adaptation is also set to release in late 2025. Yen Press describes Kowloon Generic Romance:
