Kunon the Sorcerer Can See Announces Anime Adaptation
Kunon the Sorcerer Can See (Majutsu-shi Kunon wa Mieteiru) light novel series is getting an anime adaptation. Further details have not been announced. Author Umikaze Minamino commented on the upcoming adaptation:
It has been decided that [Kunon the Sorcerer Can See] will be made into an anime. It's all thanks to everyone's support. Thank you very much.
The power of eye-catching illustrations and the power of beautiful art in the manga. The anime was made possible by combining these two forces.
The original story... well I guess the original story did have some influence. However, it was small! May have been a fine line!
Anyway, thanks to the help and support of many people, it will be made into an anime. I think the feedback from readers had a particularly strong influence.
I'm looking forward to it too. Let's enjoy the anime together!

Last year, the manga adaptation of the Kunon the Sorcerer Can See series revealed a promotional video featuring Ayumu Murase as Kunon:
The light novel is written by Umikaze Minamino and illustrated by Laruha. As is the case with many light novels today, it started out as a web novel series on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website in August of 2021. It has been serialized under the Kadokawa Books imprint since 2022. There are currently six volumes out, with Volume 7 planned for March 25, 2025 release date.
A manga adaptation with art by La-na is currently being published in Media Factory's Monthly Comic Alive magazine. The manga has five volumes out. The most recent volume was released on November 22, 2024.
Both Laruha and La-na drew special illustrations to commemorate the anime adaptation news:

Yen Press licensed the Kunon the Sorcerer Can See light novels. Three volumes are out, with one planned for April of this year. English publisher and licensor describes the plot of the first volume as:
Kunon Gurion was born without sight and unsure of his purpose in life, but everything changes when he resolves to find a way to use magic to see. This is a feat no sorcerer has ever accomplished or even tried, and it won’t be easy. Kunon’s single-minded ambition leads him to quickly surpass his teacher, and with only a few basic spells, he can already sense color, produce useful items, and create a lifelike cat from water! Word of his skills and ingenuity soon reaches the castle, which earns him a rare chance to study under a powerful new mentor. But is Kunon’s goal even attainable?
