Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club Announces Release Date of Final Chapter Part 2
Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club has announced the release date of part two of their three-part movies to wrap up the end of the Nijigasaki project. The movie is appropriately named Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club Final Chapter Part 2 and is set to release on November 7th, 2025 in Japan. The announcement was made at this year's AnimeJapan event.
Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club is the third major multimedia project from the Love Live! School Idol Project Series franchise. The Nijigasaki portion of the project was revealed in 2017, and season one of the anime premiered on October 3rd, 2020, animated by Sunrise.
The first Final Chapter movie was released in Japan nationwide on September 6th, 2024. The movie followed a certain set of characters from Nijigasaki as they take a trip to Okinawa, Japan's most southern island and famous paradise. The second movie will follow characters Shioriko, Setsuna, Karin, Ai, Rina, and Mia as they travel to Kobe and Osaka. Check out the trailer below:
The first film in the Final Chapter project brought new merch of the featured girls to movie theaters around Japan, such as acrylic stands and buttons. New merchandise of Shioriko, Setsuna, Karin, Ai, Rina, and Mia is expected to coincide with the release of the second film.
The Love Live! School Idol Project Series franchise was created by Hajime Yatate (a codename for the collective creators within the Sunrise animation studio) and Sakurako Kimino, a novelist who created Sister Princess and Strawberry Panic!.
