Lupin the IIIrd: Fujimi no Ketsuzoku Anime Movie Reveals Trailer, June 27 Premiere
LUPIN THE IIIRD THE MOVIE The Immortal Bloodline (Fujimi no Ketsuzoku) revealed a teaser trailer, visual, and June 27 release date in Japan. The trailer features the theme song "“The IIIrd Eye” by B'z and the staff includes:
- Director: Takeshi Koike
- Script: Yuya Takahashi
- Music: James Shimoji
- Creative Advisor: Katsuhito Ishii
- Animation Production: Telecom Animation Film
Takahiro "Tak" Matsumoto from the B'z duo commented on the announcement: "I'm honored and very happy to be in charge of the music for Lupin the Third, which I've watched since I was a child. I immediately started working on the song when I heard about it. When I received the offer, the first word and image that came to mind was jazz. I think it's an interesting piece with a mixture of B'z's rock and jazz and a gorgeous horn section."
Vocalist Koshi Inaba said, "While keeping in mind the 'tension' of 'Lupin the IIIrd,' which has taken coolness to an even greater level, I tried to convey a never-ending desire and a kind of nobility that is not consumed by it."
The cast was announced as:
- Kanichi Kuritya as Lupin III
- Akio Otsuka as Daisuke Jigen
- Koichi Yamadera as Inspector Zenigata
- Daisuke Namikawa as Goemon Ishikawa
- Miyuki Sawashiro as Fujiko Mine

The Lupin the Third franchise is based on a manga by Monkey Punch. It ran from 1967 to 1972 and has spawned multiple spin-offs, side stories, anime, and movie adaptations. The most recent installment was the Lupin Zero anime movie.
