Masaaki Yuasa Launches New Studio With Asmik Ace, Aniplex, and CoMix Wave Film

Maasaki Yuasa, director known for Inu-Oh, Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken, and Mind Game, announced that he launched a new studio, Ame Pipping (stylized as ame pippin). Asmik Ace, Aniplex, and CoMix Wave Film are also involved in the project, with Yuasa as co-founder and CEO.

On a message posted on the ame pippin's official webpage, Yuasa wrote:

We are hoping that our new studio will be a place for new opportunities and a fresh creative environment.
As a collective, we will make steady progress, maintain quick turnarounds and flexibility, and foster joy in creativity.The next chapter of film and media entertainment starts here!

This is the second studio Yuasa has co-founded: the animator and director co-founded Science SARU alongside producer Eunyoung Choi in 2013. He was the CEO of the studio from 2013 to 2020, when he stepped down. With the studio, he worked on the critically-acclaimed debut episode of Adventure Time, Lu Over the Wall film in 2017, Devilman Crybaby, Japan Sinks: 2020, and more. Yuasa's latest work was the Inu-Oh musical in 2021.

The official website for the ame pippin studio currently doesn't have any information about the upcoming projects.
