Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX TV Anime Reveals Visual, Promotional Video
Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX TV anime released a new visual and a promotion reel (region-locked). The anime will stream on Amazon Prime starting on April 8.
Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX theme songs are "Plazma" by Kenshi Yonezu and "I don't care" by Hoshimachi Suisei. The cast includes:
- Tomoyo Kurosawa as Amate Yuzuriha (Machu) Japanese
- Yui Ishikawa as Nyaan
- Shimba Tsuchiya as Shuji Ito
The new Gundam anime had a theatrical release, titled Beginning, earlier this year. The staff for both theatrical and TV cut is the same and includes Kazuya Tsurumaki (FLCL, Evangelion) as the director, Yoji Enokido on series composition and script with Hideaki Anno (Evangelion, Shin Godzilla) will also be working on the screenplay. Shie Kobori is the character designer and Ikuto Yamashita is doing the mechanical designs. Kenshi Yonezu is performing the theme song "Plazma."
Anno's studio khara and Sunrise are collaborating on the anime. The movie version was released n Japan on January 17th and February 28 in the West (through GKIDS).
Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX synopsis is as follows:
Amate Yuzuriha is a high-school student living peacefully in a space colony floating in outer space. When she meets a war refugee named Nyaan, Amate is drawn into the illegal mobile suit dueling sport known as Clan Battle.
Under the entry name "Machu," she throws herself into fierce battle day after day, piloting the GQuuuuuuX. Then an unidentified Gundam mobile suit pursued by both the space force and the police appears before her, along with its pilot, a boy named Shuji. Now their world is about to enter a new era.
This is the latest installment in the franchise created by Yoshiyuki Tomino.
