My Hero Academia Final Season Begins in October 2025

The final season of the My Hero Academia anime revealed a teaser visual and October 2025 premiere date during today's AnimeJapan stage. Studio BONES is animating the sequel with Kenji Nagasaki as the director and Naomi Nakayama as the director.

My Hero Academia is based on Kohei Horikoshi's popular manga series which ran in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump between 2014-2024. The manga has been compiled into 42 volumes. The anime adaptation is set to conclude with Season 8, which is scheduled to begin airing in the Fall season.

Studio BONES are also working on an upcoming spin-off adaptation, My Hero Academia: Vigilantes, which will begin broadcasting in April.

The main voice cast for My Hero Academia includes:

  • Daiki Yamashita as Izuku Midoria (Deku)
  • Nobuhiko Okamoto as Katsuki Bakugo
  • Kenta Miyake as All Might
  • Koki Uchiyama as Tomura Shigaraki

The series is available to stream on the streaming platform Crunchyroll.

The manga is published in English by VIZ Media, who have released 41 volumes of the series so far. The publisher also releases several of the spin-off manga including My Hero Academia: Vigilantes, My Hero Academia: Team-Up Missions, and My Hero Academia: Smash!! alongside several fan books and the light novel spin-off series My Hero Academia: School Briefs. The publisher describes the main series as follows:

Middle school student Izuku Midoriya wants to be a hero more than anything, but he hasn’t got an ounce of power in him. With no chance of ever getting into the prestigious U.A. High School for budding heroes, his life is looking more and more like a dead end. Then an encounter with All Might, the greatest hero of them all, gives him a chance to change his destiny…
