The brand-new Yu-Gi-Oh! Chronicles just revealed a short clip teasing the upcoming animation. The clip was shown during a live stream on the official YouTube Yu-Gi-Oh! OCG Channel and it gives a small glimpse into the long-awaited adaptation of one of the most iconic archetypes in the trading card game (TCG), the “Sky Striker” in the anime format. The preview starts at around 52:26 minute-mark:
The stream also revealed some information about the main cast, which includes:
- Anna Nagase as Raye
- Nene Hieda as Roze
Yu-Gi-Oh! Chronicles – Sky Striker Ace is set to have two episodes, which will be released in April and May of this year. They will be released monthly on the Yu-Gi-Oh! OCG YouTube channel. KONAMI’s in-house studio, KONAMI Animation, is in charge of the animation. In addition to Sky Striker Ace, the anime will also cover the Fallen of Albaz, from the "Story of White" series starting June.

This is not the first time we were served a preview of the animation, as a series of animated short clips showcasing the story were added to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel game in February this year as part of its solo mode campaign.

The Sky Striker tale was previously explored in the Yu-Gi-Oh! OCG Stories manga, which was authored by Shin Yoshida with the artist Naohito Miyoshi. The manga began serialization in the V Jump magazine in 2022. It follows the story of Raye, the final surviving human of a devastating apocalypse, and a gifted girl who was entrusted with the Sky Strikers, weapons designed to fight off the threat of an unnamed powerful enemy empire.
Yu-Gi-Oh! started out as a manga series, serialized in the Weekly Shonen Jump and created by Kazuki Takahashi. It spawned a popular trading card game, multiple anime adaptations, manga spin-offs, games, and more. The franchise has been 25th anniversary for the past few years and has recently announced a remaster of the Yu-Gi-Oh! GX anime, that is scheduled to premiere this April.
