Nyaight of the Living Cat Unveils New Trailer
In celebration of Cat Day in Japan (February 22), a new trailer for the upcoming Nyaight of the Living Cat anime has been released ahead of the July premiere. More information on the voice cast has also been revealed alongside the PV:
Studio OLM (The Apothecary Diaries, Pokémon XY&Z) Staff for the Nyaight of the Living Cat anime. The staff includes:

- Screenplay: Shingo Irie

The Japanese voice cast consists of:
- Masaaki Mizunaka as Kunagi
- Reina Ueda as Kaoru
- Reiji Kawashima as Arata
- Yu Serizawa as Tsutsumi
- Subaru Kimura as Len Ward
- Yoshiki Nakajima as Masaki Ward
- Hiroki Yasumoto as Tanishi
- Ryota Takeuchi as Gaku
The series is based on an ongoing manga series by author Hawkman and artist Mecha-Roots. It has been serialised on Comic Garden since 2020. The Nyaight of the Living Cat manga is available in English through publisher Seven Seas.
The anime is set to premiere in July and will be available to stream worldwide (excluding Asia) on Crunchyroll. The platform describes the plot as follows:
Run! The adorable cats are here. In 20XX, the world is dominated by cats. A virus which turns anyone who touches a cat into a cat has spread into a worldwide nyandemic. Cats rub against people, turning them into cats. Can humanity fight their urge to pet cats to survive in this cat-ridden world?
