Koisuru One Piece Vertical Anime Announced
ONE PIECE is getting an anime adaptation for the Koisuru One Piece (One Piece in Love) spin-off gag manga. The anime will be made for vertical viewing and distributed in the short video format. The cast includes Ryousuke Kanemoto, Ayane Sakura, and Yuichi Nakamura.
The Koisuru One Piece is a gag-manga by Daiki Ihara. It began serialization on Shonen Jump+ platform in 2018. The plot follows three high schoolers as they go through life reliving situations similar to those they find in the manga.
ONE PIECE is a manga series by Eiichiro Oda. It began serialization in Shuiesha's Weekly Shonen Jump in 1997, followed by an anime adaptation by Toei Animation in 1999. The "Egghead Arc" will be returning on April 6, with new theme songs. GRe4N BOYZ will be performing the opening theme song for the anime, while muque is in charge of the ending.
The second season of the ONE PIECE live-action is also expected to be released in 2025. Netflix is also working on a reboot anime with WIT Studio.
Now over 25 years, the franchise has grown to encompass 15 feature films, numerous video games, a trading card game, and an ever-expanding catalog of licensed merchandise and location-based entertainment, like the ONE PIECE DAY at Dallas. It has also been doing some exciting collaborations, including the recent LA Lakers, LEGO, and Seattle Mariners Baseball collaboration projects.
