ONE PIECE Returns With Double Episode Premiere, Egghead Arc Recap
Toei Animation and Crunchyroll are kicking off the highly anticipated return of ONE PIECE's Egghead Arc with a double-episode drop on April 5-6, 2025. The "Premiere Weekend Event" will also feature an 83-minute "Egghead Arc Part-1 Recap Special" so that fans of the series can catch up on the story before diving into the new episodes.
Following the series’ hiatus, the "Egghead Arc" will officially resume simulcast on Crunchyroll in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, and Latin America. The ONE PIECE schedule is as follows:
- April 5 - 83-Minute Egghead Arc Part-1 Recap Special Premiere & ONE PIECE Episode 1123
- April 6 - ONE PIECE Episode 1124

The announcement was revealed following anime's panel at AnimeJapan 2025. During the event, an anime adaptation of the Koisuru One Piece was announced.
ONE PIECE is a manga series by Eiichiro Oda. It began serialization in Shuiesha's Weekly Shonen Jump in 1997, followed by an anime adaptation by Toei Animation in 1999. The second season of the ONE PIECE live-action is expected to be released in 2025. Netflix is also working on a reboot anime with WIT Studio.
Now over 25 years, the franchise has grown to encompass 15 feature films, numerous video games, a trading card game, and an ever-expanding catalog of licensed merchandise and location-based entertainment. It has also been doing some exciting collaborations, including the recent Seattle Mariners Baseball, LA Lakers, and LEGO projects. The first-ever overseas celebration of ONE PIECE DAY was also recently held in Dallas, Texas, USA.

One Piece boasts more than 1100 episodes. Currently in the Egghead Arc, the Straw Hats finally meet the long awaited Dr. Vegapunk on Egghead Island. Crunchyroll is home to every subbed episode and also every English dubbed episode, with over 1000 and counting. In addition, One Piece has 13 television specials and 15 movies, with the latest, One Piece Film Red, being the highest-grossing film in the franchise. One Piece is produced by Toei Animation.
