Promise of Wizard Unveils Opening Theme and January 6 Premiere
The upcoming Promise of Wizard (Mahou Tsukai Yakusoku) anime revealed the premiere date and opening theme song. Mili, the unit behind the theme song for the Promise of Wizard mobile game, will be singing the opening "Year N." The anime premieres on January 6.

The Promise of Wizard anime series was first announced on May 12 of this year. Naoyuki Tatsuwa (Nisekoi) is directing it at studio Liden Films (Tokyo Revengers). Cast members from the game are reprising their roles for the anime:

Yumiri Hanamori will be voicing the Sage and main character, Akira Maki. In the original game, they were not voiced as they represent the players. Players could choose to play as either a male or female Sage in the game.
Promise of Wizard is a Japanese mobile game where players can collect and raise characters, also known as Wizards. The game was created by Coly and was first released in August 2019. It has inspired manga adaptations, radio web dramas, and stage play adaptations. In the game, the player plays as the "Sage" who was summoned from modern-day Japan to the world of the Wizards. Players must travel and befriend the Wizards and help train them to defend their world from chaos.
