Rascal Does Not Dream of a Dreaming Girl Synopsis
Adapted from Hajime Kamoshida’s AoButa light novels (art by Keiji Mizoguchi), Rascal Does Not Dream of a Dreaming Girl follows the events of the Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai TV anime. Centering on Shoko Makinohara, the film takes place a few months after Sakuta and Mai embrace the couple's life. But instead of finding himself in his honeymoon phase, Sakuta is confounded when an adult Shoko merrily walks back into his life. To add to the confusion, another sickly version of her exists, forcing Sakuta to confront feelings and events for which he's ill-prepared. Will his newfound relationship survive his new trials?
The Cloverworks animated film was released in Japanese theaters on June 15, 2019. Director duties were handled by Souichi Masui, while Masahiro Yokotani worked on the series composition and script.
