Rascal Does Not Dream of Santa Claus Anime Unveils Trailer, July Premiere Date
Rascal Does Not Dream of Santa Claus anime revealed the first trailer featuring the opening theme song "Snowdrop" by Conton Candy and a July 2025 premiere date. Konomi Kohara and Miori Mito are joining the cast as Sara Himeji and
Miori Mito.
Soichi Masui is directing the Rascal Does Not Dream of Santa Claus anime at studio CloverWorks, with Masahiro Yokotani on the series composition. Satomi Tamura is the character designer and fox capture plan is in charge of the music.
Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai (Seishun Buta Yarou wa Bunny Girl Senpai no Yume wo Minai) is a Japanese light novel series written by Hajime Kamoshida and illustrated by Keji Mizoguchi. The serialization began in April 2014 under the Dengeki Bunko light novel imprint and ended in 2024. The series has a manga adaptation by various artists.
The Rascal Does Not Dream anime began with a 13-episode TV anime adaptation by studio CloverWorks. The first season of the TV anime was followed by three sequel movies:
- Rascal Does Not Dream of a Dreaming Girl
- Rascal Does Not Dream of a Sister Venturing Out
- Rascal Does Not Dream of a Knapsack Kid
Rascal Does Not Dream of Santa Claus will focus on the so-called "College Arc" of the light novel series. Aniplex teases the plot as:
In a new stage of life, with new people.
A heart-swaying adolescent fantasy...
The Rascal Does Not Dream series has gained new fans with each successive work, vividly depicting the unique emotions of adolescence and human drama that touches the heart. The high school boy has become a college student and encounters various problems and bizarre phenomena through meeting new people.
The upcoming anime recently revealed updated character designs for the cast which includes:

- Asami Seto as Mai Sakurajima
- Yurika Kubo as Kaede Azusagawa
- Nao Toyama as Tomoe Koga
- Maaya Uchida as Nodoka Toyohama
- Atsumi Tanezaki as Rio Futaba
- Reina Ueda as Miniskirt Santa
