Sanrio Character Ranking 2025 Opens Voting
The Sanrio Character Ranking 2025 officially opened the voting process earlier this week. The 2025 contest, which also celebrates the 40th anniversary of the global fan-favorite ranking, features 90 characters (out of over 450 in Sanrio's official lineup).
Fans can vote once a day from their devices on the official website. This year's lineup includes last year's winner Cinnamoroll, as well as Kuromi, Aggretsuko Hello Kitty, and even yoshikitty (YOSHIKI's alter-ego and only Sanrio character based on a real person). YOSHIKI is a Japanese musician, filmmaker, and fashion designer, known to anime fans as one of the performers of the Attack on Titan's "Red Swan" ending theme song.
Last year's top 10 Sanrio Character Ranking list consisted of the following characters:
- Cinnamoroll
- Pochacco
- Kuromi
- Pompompurin
- Hello Kitty
- My Melody
- Kerokerokeroppi
- Hangyodon
- Tuxedosam
- Little Twin Stars
Voting will run from April 10 through May 25, with milestone announcements throughout the campaign. First-day initial results will be shared on April 15, interim results on May 13, and the final results will be revealed on June 29 (JST).
