Recap: The First International ONE PIECE DAY Celebration in Dallas

The first-ever overseas celebration of ONE PIECE DAY was held on March 8-9, 2025, in Fair Park, Dallas, Texas, USA. Over 10,000 attendees (or "nakamas") joined the celebration and made anime history.

The attendees enjoyed the exhibitions featuring figures, merchandise, ONE PIECE CARD GAME illustrations, and official manga artwork. There were also live performances by musical artists, voice actors, and special guests. All in all, the event was one full of love for the series, and it instantly became a memorable experience that celebrated all things ONE PIECE.

To recap, here are some of the exciting event highlights and photos from the ONE PIECE DAY Dallas Card Game Celebration:

  • The world’s first Offline Regionals for ONE PIECE CARD GAME Championship 25-26 began.
  • Brina Palencia, the English voice of Chopper, appeared for a special after-talk following the ONE PIECE Anime Screening. She shared that, “Chopper healing people is him at his best. And it's when I'm just the most proud of him. It's that special moment that he really gets to shine."
  • Hiroaki Hirata, the Japanese voice of Sanji, demonstrated his craft live onstage with an amazing voice-over performance. He recreated iconic Sanji scenes from Episodes 30, 878, and ONE PIECE FILM RED. He also said, "As far as my personal hopes, I just want to be cooler than Zoro.”
  • A never-before-seen preview of Egghead Arc, which will resume on April 6,
    was also revealed. Ryuta Koike, the producer of the ONE PIECE anime, also said: "Thank you so much again for coming today. Our story will continue and I hope everyone enjoys it."

  • Hiroshi Kitadani and Maki Otsuki appeared live to perform some of the most iconic ONE PIECE anime theme songs. Hiroshi Kitadani sang the opening song "'We Are!", "OVER THE TOP", "We Go!","UUUUUS!", while Maki Otsuki performed the ending songs "RUN! RUN! RUN!", "Dear Sunrise," and "Memories." On Day 2, they also performed a "We Are!" duet.
  • In a surprise reveal, a new campaign movie of the ONE PIECE CARD GAME
    premiered on the massive stage screen, featuring “I Had Some Help (feat. Morgan Wallen)” from Post Malone's latest album “F-1 Trillion.”
  • Jason Liebrecht, the English voice of Rob Lucci, took the stage to share his thoughts on the iconic villain. When asked about his favorite line, he said “It's very difficult to choose. I mean, he's got a lot of cool stuff."
  • The ONE PIECE DAY Dallas Exhibition featured a TOY & ANIME Exhibit, a Card Gam Illustration Gallery, a Manga Art Gallery of the Egghead Arc, and a ONE PIECE Manga Journey reading corner.
  • All winners of the ONE PIECE CARD GAME Championship 25-26 Offline Regionals for Dallas were announced, with more competitions set to take place all around the world.

After the successful event, fans can continue to look forward to the ever-expanding universe of ONE PIECE. The "Egghead Arc" will be returning on April 6, while new dubbed episodes and specials will be available on Crunchyroll on March 18. Meanwhile, the second season of the ONE PIECE live-action is expected to be released in 2025. Netflix is also working on a reboot anime with WIT Studio.
