Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun Anime Returns July 2025 With a Sequel
Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun anime is returning this July with a sequel announced earlier today. Season 2 of the anime began airing in January and the new anime will be its direct sequel. A new illustration by original author AidaIro was revealed:

Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun adaptation began in 2020 with a 12-episode TV anime by studio Lerche. The same studio worked on the spin-off anime, After-School Hanako-kun which premiered in Fall 2023 anime season. Lerche is also working on the second season, with Yohei Fukui as the director.
The anime is based on a manga by AidaIro ( duo consisting of Iro, the writer and Aida, the artist). The manga has been serialized in Square Enix's GFantasy magazine since 2014.
Crunchyroll is streaming the anime and describes the plot as:
Kamome Academy is rumored to have many mysteries, the strangest of which involves the mischievous ghost of Hanako-kun. When occult-loving high schooler Nene Yashiro accidentally becomes bonded to him, she uncovers a hidden world of supernatural beings. Now the two of them are conspiring to keep the peace between student and supernatural—that is, if they can only stay out of trouble themselves.
