Trigun Stargaze Reveals Teaser Visual, 2026 Release Date
The final installment of the Trigun Stampede anime revealed a new teaser visual and 2026 premiere date. The visual was drawn by character designer Kiyotaka Oshiyama:

Masako Sato will be directing the Trigun Stargaze anime with Kazuyuki Fudeyasu on the series composition. Studio Orange is animating. The same studio worked on Trigun Stampede, with Kenji Muto as the director. The cast included:
- Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Vash
- Tomoyo Kurosawa as Young Vash
- Junya Ikeda as Knives Millions
- Yumiri Hanamori as Young Knives
- Maaya Sakamoto as Rem Saverem
- Sakura Ando as Meryl Stryfe
- Kenji Matsuda as Robert de Niro
- Yoshimasa Hosoya as Nicholas D. Wolfwood
The series is based on Yasuhiro Nightow’s manga series, serialized in Tokuma Shoten’s Monthly Shonen Captain magazine from April 1995 to January 1997. The manga was later moved to Shonen Gahosha’s seinen manga magazine Young King OURs, as Trigun Maximum, where it stayed from October 1997 to March 2007, when it ended.
Dark Horse licensed the manga in English and describes the plot as:
On the forbidding desert world of Gunsmoke, a mysterious bounty hangs above the head of Vash the Stampede, and the gunslinging pacifist can’t seem to find a moment’s respite. Vash is no ordinary pistolero, packing a weapon capable of punching holes in a planet, which explains why the locals tremble at the very mention of his name. But sixty billion double dollars is no ordinary reward, and every trigger-happy psycho in creation is aiming to claim Vash dead or alive—preferably dead!
MADHOUSE animated the first anime adaptation of Trigun – it aired in 1998 and had 26 episodes. The same studio also worked on Trigun: Badlands Rumble movie, released in 2010.
Crunchyroll is streaming the Trigun Stampede anime.
