Winter 2025 Gross Production Notes: February

#feature #anime March 01, 2025
by Sarca

The following is a list of episodes that have premiered during the Winter 2025 anime season between February 1 and February 28. The main production studio(s) are listed in parentheses next to the title of the work. Each episode is then listed showing which studio(s) produced it, either the main studio or a gross (full) outsourcing studio, which is usually credited as seisaku kyouryoku (制作協力) or a variation of said credit.

It must be noted that this is a generalization of the credits and does not deal with the fact that most episodes are produced with some level of sub-contractors involved, either simply doing in-betweens or coloring, art studios handling the backgrounds that the main studio has no department for, or even the main studio outsourcing all of the work to different studios and overseeing the project from there. Instances where a main studio is credited, but there is also a gross outsource company credited through a series' entire run indicating that most of it was outsourced or that the work is more akin to a co-production is, however, noted.

While sub-contracting itself is not discussed, there are some exceptions in cases where it becomes necessary to notate that most of an episode's production was handled by a subcontractor, even when not credited.

Various production staff are listed as well, as I feel that these are relevant roles. Production assistants are also important, but there's a limit to my individual prowess and an article's ability to convey information without getting too messy. Please be aware that not all names listed have confirmed romanization, but most of them should be correct.

Finally, this list is only taking into account both "easily accessibly" series and those that began this season. I won't be too stringent on things that air on March 1 instead of February 28, either.

The previous month, January 2025, can be found here.

Notes: Although SANZIGEN is only contracted for the CG animation production, their credit is specifically given adjacent to Passione's, rather than in a separate block for CG animation. Albeit arbitrary, I think it's fine to co-credit them.
