Witch Watch Anime Unveils New Trailer Ahead of April 6 Premiere

Witch Watch anime revealed a new trailer ahead of the April 6 premiere date. The trailer showcases the ending theme song "Maho wa Spaisu" (Magic Is Spice) by Aooo.

YOASOBI is performing the opening theme song "Watch Me!" that was revealed in the previous trailer. Bibury Animation Studios is animating the series with Ikehata Hiroshi as the director. Deko Akao is in charge of the series composition and Haruko Izuka is the character designer. Yukari Hashimoto is composing the music.

Rina Kawaguchi and Ryota Suzuki are leading the cast as Nico Wakatsuki and Morihoto Otogi. GKIDS is also doing a special screening of the first three episodes of the series starting today until March 18, under the WITCH WATCH: WATCH PARTY title.

The anime will adapt Kenta Shinohara's Witch Watch manga, serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine since 2021. VIZ Media is publishing the manga in English (digital only) and the series is also available on the platform's Shonen Jump app. MANGA Plus also has the series in select regions.

VIZ Media describes the plot of the first volume as:
The curse holding back Morihito’s feelings for Nico is finally lifted, and his love for her explodes through him. Now that the proverbial dam has broken, there’s just one problem—Morihito has no idea how to handle love and tries his best to hide his feelings from Nico. Meanwhile, Nico makes the bold decision to confess her feelings to him. The rest of her familiars and her friends help plan the whole event, but things take an unexpected dark turn when the Day of the Disaster upends everything and a traitor steps forward to kick off the battle!
